PRESIDENT'S WELCOME

Welcome from the Republic of Korea Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated! Lovingly known as “The ROK”—our home away from home—we thank you for taking the time to visit our website.
Our chapter was chartered on May 14, 1988 on Yongsan Army Base in Seoul, South Korea by 15 dynamic women. Since that time, we have dedicated ourselves to upholding the vision of these women to serve the military communities throughout South Korea.
Driven by the sorority’s principles of Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service, the Republic of Korea Alumnae Chapter continues the legacy set forth by the sorority’s 22 founders through programs which are focused around the sorority’s Five Programmatic Thrusts: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement/Social Action.
The chapter serves the Armed Forces community with our successful Scholarship Cotillion, Delta GEMS and Delta Academy mentoring programs, high school College Fair, participating in the Garrison-wide MLK celebrations and much more. We also service the Korean community through our volunteerism and donations to Jacob’s House Orphanage and the Morning Calm Ministries. We cordially invite you to attend or participate at any of our signature events and fundraisers such as Murder Mystery Theater, Delta House Parties, and Delta Extravaganza—all to benefit our community.
It is a pleasure and an honor to serve as President of the ROK. Please take the time to learn more about our chapter and should you have any questions, please use our contact page.
Sincerely,
June E. Wilkins
President
