PRESIDENT'S WELCOME
안녕하세요! Annyeonghaseyo!
Welcome to the Republic of Korea Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated known affectionately as “The ROK.” We’re delighted you’ve visited our website.
Chartered on May 14, 1988 at Yongsan Army Base in Seoul, South Korea by 15 visionary women, our chapter is committed to serving the military communities throughout South Korea while honoring their legacy.
Guided by the principles of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action we continue the mission of our 22 Founders through programs aligned with the sorority’s Five Programmatic Thrusts: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement/Social Action.
Since 1988, our chapter has been actively supporting the military community through initiatives like the Delta GEMS and Delta Academy mentoring programs, the ROK College Fair, and the Scholarship Cotillion. This year, we’re excited to relaunch our youth initiatives and offer programs focusing on personal finance, physical and mental wellness, and civic engagement. These efforts aim to enrich the lives of our military community, host nation, and expats living in South Korea.
In addition, we’re thrilled to reintroduce some of our beloved signature events and fundraisers, including Murder Mystery Theater, Delta House Parties, and Delta Extravaganza. Each of these events is crafted to support and benefit our community through our annual high school scholarships and chapter programs.
It is both a pleasure and an honor to serve as President of The ROK. Please explore our site to learn more about our chapter and feel free to reach out with any questions using our contact page.
Sincerely,
Tabitha K. Johnson
